Welcome to the Canadian National Multilingual News Group (CNMNG). This is a project made possible through funding by Canadian Heritage. CNMNG aims to gather news researched and written by a corps of Canadian-based journalists/writers from the country’s multilingual community groups. The overall goal is to inform, analyze and critique the issues of the day in a professional manner and to provide that to publishers and editors active in the ethnocultural-multilingual press and media whose experience provides them with a perspective that is sensitive to news relevant to their own language group.
TORONTO – Over 100 more cases in 24 hours, compared to the same number of tests analyzed: today Ontario recorded 413 new ones, detected on 31,800 swabs carried out, compared to 304 on Wednesday when the tests had been more than 31,000. The positivity rate therefore goes back to 1.6% (24 hours earlier it was 1.3%). 4 deaths recorded today, the same number as on Wednesday. →

The artist, who defines himself as an “island soul and an international mind”, has made a real hymn to love that starts from the profane and gets to the sacred one. →
EDMONTON – The month of September 2021 was, so far, the worst month in Alberta during the entire Covid-19 pandemic. In fact, more inhabitants of the province have tested positive than in any previous month and records have also been set for hospitalizations and intensive care. September was also the deadliest month since the second wave of the pandemic. →
SINGAPORE – An incredible story and, for once, a happy ending. It is that of Kwek Yu Xuan, the smallest baby in the world at birth, born after 25 weeks of pregnancy: when she was born she weighed just 212 grams, about the size of an apple, for 24 centimeters in length. Now, after thirteen months of treatment, she has been discharged from the National University Hospital (Nuh) in Singapore. And she weighs 6.3 kg. →
