Status update of Covid-19 cases worldwide

Here we provide a daily update of the data available for select countries and jurisdictions as of November 4, 2021, at 4:30 pm EST.

On Thursday, health officials in the UK logged 37,269 new infections, pushing the total number of confirmed positive cases passed 9.2 million. Of the cumulative total number of cases, 81.4% are considered recovered. In the last 24-hours, authorities have reported 214 Covid-related deaths for a total of 141,395 fatalities attributable to Covid-19.

Vaccines, Ford in the eye of the storm

TORONTO – All against Ford. Ontario Science Advisory Table, Canadian Medical Association, Registered Nurses Association of Ontario, Ontario Hospital Association, doctors and scientists from all over the province, contacted by Premier Ford, had said they were in favor of the vaccination obligation for health workers. And now they do not hide their disappointment and bitterness for the opposite decision taken by Ford. “It’s not supported by science,” they said in unison.  (more…)
