Today Toronto enters the ‘grey area’

And with the partial relaxation of the restrictive measures, the order to “stay at home” in both Toronto and the Peel Region has also been lifted. “Toronto Public Health and Peel Public Health are making progress, but as their case rates remain high, they will return to the gray level for at least two weeks when the situation is revalued,” Premier Doug Ford said Friday. “This is not a return to normality – added Health Minister Christine Elliott, extinguishing enthusiasm – while we continue to vaccinate other Ontario residents, it remains essential for everyone to continue to follow public health measures and stay at home as much as possible to protect themselves, loved ones and their communities.” Continue reading

In Ontario, 1,299 new infected people and 15 deaths

[GTranslate]TORONTO – Canada yesterday stood at 886,272 positive for Covid-19, an increase of 2,186 more cases than in the previous 24 hours. The number of victims – nationwide – yesterday reached 22,239 total deaths, 26 more than on Saturday. In Canada yesterday there were 834,067 people healed from the coronavirus. Ontario yesterday reached 308,296 overall positives, an increase of 1,299 new cases compared to Saturday. The total number of victims in Ontario has meanwhile risen to 7,067, with 15 more deaths than the previous day. Healed people in the province rose to 290,840, or 1,105 more than the previous 24 hours. There are 828 cases so far registered in Ontario of the English variant of Covid, 31 of the South African variant and 13 of the Brazilian one. Continue reading

Phase Two of COVID-19 Vaccination will start in April, premier Ford said

The Covid-19 vaccine to be administered at over 350 locations in Toronto
