در تاریخ ۳۰ اپریل بازرس مراقبتهای بلند مدت انتاریو(LTC) ، گزارش نهایی خود را به دولت استانی منتشر کرد. جای تعجب نیست که در این گزارش آمده است که( LTC) مراکز مراقبتهای بلند مدت، محل مناسبی برای شیوع بیماریهای غیر قابل کنترل میباشد. همچنین باز هم جای تعجب نیست که این مراکز فاقد برنامه ریزی مناسب جهت جلوگیری از ابتلای قشر آسیبپذیر و همچنین مراقبین آنها از بیماریهای ویروسی مانند کوید 19 میباشد. این کمیسیون، مسئولیت بررسی دلایل چگونگی شروع و شیوع کوید 19 در این مراکز در انتاریو را به عهده دارد. همچنین آنها مشغول بررسی اقداماتی که جهت پیشگیری از گسترش این ویروس انجام شده است هم میباشند. در این گزارش، توصیههایی جهت بهبود بخشیدن شرایط زندگی ساکنان و کارمندان در این مراکز ارائه کردند. در طی تحقیقات هفت ماهه این کمیسیون ( سپتامبر ۲۰۲۰- مارچ ۲۰۲۱) آنها نظرات بیش از ۷۰۰ نفر از گروههای مختلف از جمله خانوادهها، ساکنین این مراکز، کارمندان، کادر درمانی و دولتی را شنیدند. بر کسی پوشیده نیست که این مراکز سالهاست در انجام وظیفه خود نسبت به ساکنین، کوتاهی کردهاند. بر اساس نظرات نویسندگان گزارش ۳۲۲ صفحهایی، دولتمردان انتاریو، سالیان سال به بهبود سیستم این مراکز بی اعتنایی کرده اند. Today, total Covid-19 cases in India surpass 20 million. For thirteen days straight, the country has reported more than 300,000 new infections daily. In the last 24-hours, India’s health officials recorded 355,828 new cases, a slight dip from yesterday.
