Big fire in Lawrence and Keele

TORONTO – Big fire, in the early afternoon of Saturday, in a building on Lawrence Avenue West, near the intersection with Keele Street: a column of black smoke rose from one of the apartments on the floors, investing the upper ones.

At least ten vehicles of Toronto firefighters were on site: at the time of writing it is not known if there was anyone inside the house, but the presence of some ambulances raises concerns that there may be people involved.

The police presence was massive and blocked Lawrence Avenue West from the intersection with Keele Street to the next one, on the West side.

Below, some pics and videos of the fire and the ongoing intervention (photos and videos: Marzio Pelù / Corriere Canadese / Cnmng News).
