Parei numa loja Dollar Store para comprar dois cartões: um de aniversário e outro do dia da Mãe – ambos para a mesma pessoa.
A maior parte da loja estava devidamente sinalizada e encerrada, incluindo o expositor de cartões.
Apesar disso, peguei nos cartões e tratei de fazer o pagamento. →

O Conselho Escolar do Distrito de Toronto (TDSB, na sigla em inglês) vai em breve pedir aos pais que escolham se os seus filhos vão regressar às salas de aula ou continuarão com o ensino à distância. Em setembro, é claro. Mais nada foi dito sobre este mês e meio que sobra do corrente ano letivo. O Ministro da Educação, Stephen Lecce, não fala sobre isso, os conselhos escolares nada dizem sobre o assunto, e os pais deduzem que vai acabar com os seus filhos a terem aulas online. →
Mi sono fermato in un Dollar Store per ritirare due carte d’auguri: una, per compleanno, l’altra, per la Festa della Mamma, entrambe per la stessa persona. La maggior parte del negozio è stata sessata doverosamente, anche il porta-carte. Ho preso comunque le due carte e ho continuato a pagare. →

The self-serve kiosk would not accept the birthday card purchase. The young lady assistant who came to my aid, said “I’m sorry sir, the rules don’t allow us to sell any cards except these. You cannot buy and I cannot sell the other.” The card was worth $1.13, tax included. →
The Toronto District School Board (TDSB) will soon ask parents to choose whether their children will return to classrooms or continue with remote learning. In September of course. No word about this month and a half of school left this year. →
