Welcome to the Canadian National Multilingual News Group (CNMNG). This is a project made possible through funding by Canadian Heritage. CNMNG aims to gather news researched and written by a corps of Canadian-based journalists/writers from the country’s multilingual community groups. The overall goal is to inform, analyze and critique the issues of the day in a professional manner and to provide that to publishers and editors active in the ethnocultural-multilingual press and media whose experience provides them with a perspective that is sensitive to news relevant to their own language group.
TORONTO – Another 16 deaths related to Covid-19, today, in Ontario: the number of victims in the province since the beginning of the pandemic rises to 13,099. In recent weeks, the number of deaths has been particularly high: 108 in the past seven days and 467 in the past thirty days. (more…)
TORONTO – If they weren’t weekend data, when not all hospitals provide Covid numbers, they were very positive: today the number of people being treated for Covid-19 in intensive care in Ontario reached the lowest point since December 10, 2021. (more…)
TORONTO – The revelation that Stephen Lecce participated in numerous “slave auction” events when he was a member of the Sigma Chi International Fraternity, exploded like a bomb.
TORONTO – On the day Ontario is going to fall the obligation to wear a mask in most indoor public spaces, including shopping malls, schools and restaurants, the province records “only” 3 deaths from Covid-19, leading to 12,332 the total number of coronavirus victims since the start of the pandemic.
TORONTO – Covid-19: the number of hospitalized in Ontario still drops, but the number of victims remains high: today another 19 bringing the total from the beginning of the pandemic to 12,307. Even today, however, it is not known which deaths, of those in recent days, were caused by the virus and which by other diseases with the virus in coexistence: the provincial health authorities did not specify this, contrary to what they had announced last week.
