Biman’s touchdown in Toronto marks Independence of Bangladesh

Muhammad Ali Bukhari, March 26, 2022August 25, 2023

TORONTO – Instead of a commercial flight, finally the national flag carrier Biman Bangladesh Airlines will land to North America’s fourth largest City of Toronto in Canada in a straight commemorative countenance with hardly 35 passengers by burning 100 tones of jet fuel.

Thus, in a query from this correspondent, the Senior Communications Advisor of Greater Toronto Airports Authority, Ms Tori Gass responded that, “There is a flight arriving in Toronto on Sunday, March 27 and departing back to Bangladesh on Tuesday, March 29 to commemorate the Independence Day of Bangladesh. This new flight route will begin its regular scheduled service from Toronto Pearson this June.”

However, none from the general public knows how this operation will eventually take shape, but for many expatriate Bangladeshis living in Canada who can cherish an 18-hours long dream liner flight directly to their homeland.

Although, country’s prominent aviation expert Kazi Wahidul Alam thinks “Biman’s this commemorative flight should have been a commercial one to Toronto, because today’s number 1 airlines, Qatar Airways as well as other foreign airlines did not do any experimental one, as they started their operation in Dhaka.”
