On Thursday, health officials in Italy logged over 5,000 new infections, numbers not seen since May. Of the cumulative 4.3 million confirmed positive cases, 95.8% are considered recovered. In the last 24-hours, Covid-related deaths increased by 15, brining the total number of fatalities to 127,980.

TORONTO – July 22, 2021: Canada stood today at 1,424,902 positives for Covid-19, an increase of 399 more cases than in the previous 24 hours. The number of victims – nationwide – today reached 26,524 total deaths, 12 more than Wednesday. In Canada today the number of recovered people from the coronavirus stood at 1,393,947.
