On Wednesday, health officials in Mexico logged over 13,000 new infections, numbers not seen in five months. Of the cumulative 2.6 confirmed positive cases, 78.6% are considered recovered. In the last 24-hours, Covid-related deaths increased by 341, brining the total number of fatalities to 236,810.
Ndp: no renewal of Orchard Villa license

TORONTO – A resounding no to Orchard Villa requests. The Ontario NDP is pressing the provincial government to respond in spades to the requests made by the long-term care home Orchard Villa to be able to expand the structure by adding another 87 beds and the license renewed for another 30 years. “The request is disturbing for the family members of the people who died in this LTC ,” reads the letter signed by leader Andrea Horwath and Oshawa MP Jennifer French. Today in Ontario 135 new infected and 4 new deaths

TORONTO – July 21, 2021: Canada stood today at 1,424,503 positives for Covid-19, an increase of 470 more cases than in the previous 24 hours. The number of victims – nationwide – today reached 26,512 total deaths, 6 more than Tuesday. In Canada today the number of recovered people from the coronavirus stood at 1,393,366.
