Here we provide a daily update of the data available for select countries and jurisdictions as of July 2, 2021 at 7:30pm EST.
On Friday, health officials in India logged over 47,000 new infections, pushing the total number of confirmed positive cases passed 30.5 million. Of the cumulative total, 97.0% are considered recovered. Since yesterday, Covid-related deaths increased by nearly 800, bringing the country’s total fatalities to 401,252.

In a hard-hitting new research report, the Nederland based Clean Clothes Campaign finds that H&M, Nike and Primark have driven factory workers in their supply chains in Bangladesh, Cambodia and Indonesia into desperation during the COVID-19 pandemic. Interviews conducted with 49 garment workers in these countries demonstrate that the Coronavirus-induced crisis continues to have a devastating impact on the wages, working conditions, and labor rights of garment workers. Daily update of Ontario’s Covid-19 Vaccination Campaign
With the largest vaccination campaign underway, the province has administered more than 15.1 million doses into the arms of Ontarians. On July 2, numbers released by the Ministry of Health show health officials administered 145,674 vaccine doses on Thursday, down from 267,687 doses the day prior.
