Health officials in India logged 91,227 new infections in the last 24-hours. The additional cases pushed the official national tally of positive cases over 29 million. Of the cumulative total, 94.5% are considered recovered. In the last day, Covid-related deaths increased by 2,213 for a total of 353,557 fatalities.

In Ontario 469 new infected and 18 more deaths
TORONTO – June 8, 2021: Canada stood today at 1,395,015 positives for Covid-19, an increase of 869 more cases than in the previous 24 hours. The number of victims – nationwide – today reached 25,786 total deaths, 25 more than on Monday. In Canada today the number of recovered people from the coronavirus stood at 1,347,274. Daily update of Ontario’s Covid-19 Vaccination Campaign
With the largest vaccination campaign underway, the province has administered more than 10.2 million doses into the arms of Ontarians. On June 8, numbers released by the Ministry of Health show health officials administered 158,209 vaccine doses on Monday, up from 116,829 doses the day prior.
