NGOs call to governments on brink of millions’ starvation

Toronto, April 20: In an open letter addressed to world leaders today, the International Council of Voluntary Agencies consisting of more than 250 NGOs have urgently called to increase aid and save more than 34 million people on the brink of starvation this year. টরন্টো, এপ্রিল ২০: আজ এক খোলা চিঠিতে আড়াইশোর অধিক এনজিওর সমন্বয়ে গঠিত ইন্টারন্যাশনাল কাউন্সিল অব ভলান্টারি এজেন্সিস বিশ্বনেতৃবৃন্দের কাছে এ বছর পৃথিবীব্যাপি কমপক্ষে ৩ কোটি ৪০ লাখ মানুষের বুভুক্ষতা মোচনের জরুরি আহ্বান জানিয়েছে। তারা বলেছে, তাতে সর্বোচ্চ ২৭ কোটি মানুষ নিদারুন অনাহারক্লিষ্টতার পাশাপাশি আরও কয়েক কোটি ‘বিষম আকালের মুখোমুখিতে রয়েছে’। Continue reading→
