Here we provide a daily update of the data available for select countries and jurisdictions as of July 7, 2021 at 6:00pm EST.
For the second day in a row, health officials in Bangladesh logged over 11,000 new infections. The last two days have been among the highest daily increases since the onset of the pandemic. Of the cumulative 977,568 confirmed positive cases, 87.0% are considered recovered. Since yesterday, Covid-related deaths increased by 201, a record high number of fatalities reported in one day.
Today in Ontario 194 new infected but no more new deaths

TORONTO – July 7, 2021: Canada stood today at 1,418,506 positives for Covid-19, an increase of 466 more cases than in the previous 24 hours. Pressing on Premier Ford to anticipate Step 3

TORONTO – Pressure continues on Premier Doug Ford to bring forward Step 3 of the reopening roadmap. According to the roadmap wanted by the provincial government, the plan on the progressive relaxation of anti-Covid restrictions should comply with two pre-terms: one refers to the mass vaccination campaign in Ontario and the other on timing. $16.3 million to revitalize Toronto’s tourism sector
