টরন্টো, এপ্রিল ৯: গতকাল কানাডার উপ-প্রধানমন্ত্রী ও অর্থমন্ত্রী ক্রিস্টিয়া ফ্রিল্যান্ড সাবেক মন্ত্রী কেন ড্রাইডেনের সঙ্গে কথোপকথনে বলেছেন, বর্তমান সরকারের করোনা পুনরুদ্ধার কার্যক্রমে ‘শিশু পরিচর্যা’র বিষয়টি সুদীর্ঘ প্রতিশ্রুতি পরিপূরণের সুযোগটি বয়ে এনেছে। কারণ, গত এক বছরে করোনা মহামারী নারীর কর্মসংস্থানের সুযোগকে আশাতীতভাবে সংকুচিত করেছে। এছাড়া অতীতে পর্যায়ক্রমিক লিবারেল সরকার ক্ষমতাসীন হলেও শিশু পরিচর্যার বিষয়টি অপরিবর্তিত থেকেছে। তাতে এখন করোনা মহামারী সেই সুযোগটি করে দিয়েছে। সেজন্য তার কথা, ‘আমি সত্যি বিশ্বাস করি করোনা মহামারীই প্রারম্ভিক শিক্ষা ও শিশু পরিচর্যার সুযোগটি করে দিয়েছে।’ Continue reading→
