Cancel Culture looms over Columbus Centre

TORONTO – Once burned, twice shy. So goes the popular saying advising all to operate with a healthy dose of skepticism. After a failed attempt to raze the Columbus Centre and Villa Colombo to the ground, in 2016-2018, to facilitate a private condominium development, it seems that the “inventive” minds at the Villa Charities Board are setting the groundwork for Round Two.

Covid-19, Ontario in the midst of the sixth wave

TORONTO – There are no doubts. Ontario is now in the midst of a sixth wave of pandemic. This was stated by the director of the Covid-19 Science Advisory Table of Ontario Peter Juni. “You only have to look at our wastewater to understand that this is indeed the case,” he said, “the highly contagious sub-variant of Omicron BA.2 cannot be blamed for the increase in the number of cases in Ontario that is instead linked to having thrown caution to the wind.”

It is where the largest of the Great Lakes flows into Lake Huron. The St. Marie’s International Bridge is the only fixed link crossing between both countries and a key trade route for Canadian and American markets.

And this despite the low number of tests carried out because of the limitation of swabs to the “at risk” categories only: just over 6,200 tests processed in the last 24 hours, which revealed the presence of 1,741 positive people.
