Toronto’s art scene comes to life in “The Spectators’ Odyssey – o dell’Inferno”

The arts and culture industry has been hit hard in the wake of Covid-19. But the industry’s revival is spurred on by an immersive, contemporary multimedia theatrical experience called The Spectator’s Odyssey – o dell’Inferno.

Created by Daniele Bartolini, artistic director of the internationally acclaimed, Italian Canadian DopoLavoro Teatrale (DLT) and developed in support with TO Live, the artistic experience connects the audience and transports them between the world of art and behind the scenes of two of Toronto’s most iconic buildings.

Alarm at the halfway house in Caledonia: ambulances, police and firefighters on the spot

TORONTO – Alarm at the halfway house “Fred Victor Bethlehem United Shelter” in Caledonia Road, where eight crews of the Toronto Police, three ambulances and a vehicle of the firefighters were brought a few minutes ago. According to what has been learned, inside the structure – which houses homeless people, people in discomfort and former prisoners – there would have been a dispute that ended badly. As of this writing, on-site investigations are ongoing.

Allarme alla halfway house di Caledonia: ambulanze, polizia e vigili del fuoco sul posto

TORONTO – Allarme alla halfway house “Fred Victor Bethlehem United Shelter” in Caledonia Road, dove pochi minuti fa si sono portati otto equipaggi della Polizia di Toronto, tre ambulanze e un mezzo dei vigili del fuoco. Stando a quanto appreso, all’interno della struttura – che ospita senzatetto, persone in condizioni di disagio ed ex detenuti – si sarebbe verificata una lite finita male. Mentre scriviamo, sono in corso indagini sul posto.

TORONTO – There is a white bicycle at the corner of Bloor and University street. Another cyclist’s life has been claimed and I cannot help but think that this somehow could have been avoided. The boy was only 18. What makes this even harder is that he appears to be from the Filipino community. This could have been a nephew, a brother, a friend of the family. This is not the first fatality in the Annex area. In 2018, at Bloor and St. George, a 58-year-old woman was killed by a flatbed truck. →

Si torna sopra i 600 contagi: 151 a Toronto

TORONTO – Tornano ampiamente sopra quota 600 i nuovi casi di Covid-19 in Ontario. Ieri la provincia ha segnalato 660 contagi in 24 ore, contro i 486 di martedì: la media sui sette giorni è ora pari a 625 (martedì era 600, una settimana fa era 496). È bastato fare più test (26.406 nelle ultime 24 ore, mentre martedì ne erano stati fatti 17.369) per rialzare la media.
