Welcome to the Canadian National Multilingual News Group (CNMNG). This is a project made possible through funding by Canadian Heritage. CNMNG aims to gather news researched and written by a corps of Canadian-based journalists/writers from the country’s multilingual community groups. The overall goal is to inform, analyze and critique the issues of the day in a professional manner and to provide that to publishers and editors active in the ethnocultural-multilingual press and media whose experience provides them with a perspective that is sensitive to news relevant to their own language group.
TORONTO – There was much to give thanks for in the U.S. Thanksgiving. A return to the Macy’s Parade with non-cardboard cutout children standing in the streets of New York, in wonderment of the “Boss Baby” balloon. A return to Black Friday doorcrashers (90+ vigilantes recreating “Fast and the Furious” in Walnut Creek). And setting a place for an unwanted visitor at the Thanksgiving family table – “Omicron”.

L’affermato violinista Mauro Tortorelli, concertista di fama internazionale, didatta e compositore, trovandosi di fronte ad una nuova sfida legata al progetto discografico su Guido Santórsola ed al suo repertorio, viene ispirato dall’idea di poter far costruire uno strumento appositamente per l’occasione: il violino a 5 corde.
