On Sunday, Poland reported an additional 3,852 new infections. Over the last two-days, the country’s health officials logged more than 560 new Covid-related deaths bringing total fatalities to over 70,012.
When taking into consideration, deaths per million of population, Poland’s rate of 1,851 is nearly three times that of Canada’s rate at 649.
In Ontario 3,216 new infected and 47 more deaths
TORONTO – May 9, 2021: Canada stood yesterday at 1,284,323 positives for Covid-19, an increase of 4,352 more cases than in the previous 24 hours. The number of victims – nationwide – yesterday reached 24,624 total deaths, 56 more than on Saturday. In Canada yesterday the number of recovered people from the coronavirus stood at 1,179,445.
