 Canada reached 1,404,798 positive cases yesterday, with an increase of 987 infections more than in the previous 24 hours. The victims – on a national scale – reached a total of 25,991 deaths yesterday, 27 more than on Tuesday.

Ontario reached 540,810 overall positive cases yesterday, an increase of 384 new cases compared to Tuesday. Meanwhile, the death toll has risen to 8,986, with 12 additional patients dying in Ontario.
Furthermore, 141,106 cases have been registered in Ontario of the English variant of Covid, 1,141 of the South African variant and 4,156 of the Brazilian variant. Recoveries in the province rose to 526,440, which is 645 more than the previous 24 hours. 438 people were admitted to a hospital yesterday, 308 of them in intensive care and 242 connected to ventilators for assisted breathing.
