Status update of Covid-19 cases worldwide

Here we provide a daily update of the data available for select countries and jurisdictions as of July 9, 2021, at 6:30pm EST.

On Friday, health officials in Bangladesh logged 11,324 new infections, pushing the total number of confirmed positive cases passed one million. Of the cumulative total, 86.2% are considered recovered. In the last 24-hours, Covid-related deaths increased by 212, the highest number of fatalities reported in one day since the onset of the pandemic.

Ontario Moving to Step Three of Roadmap to Reopen on July 16

TORONTO — With key public health and health care indicators continuing to improve and the provincewide vaccination rate surpassing the targets outlined in the province’s Roadmap to Reopen, in consultation with the Chief Medical Officer of Health the Ontario government is moving the province into Step Three of the Roadmap to Reopen at 12:01 a.m. on Friday, July 16, 2021. Daily update of Ontario’s Covid-19 Vaccination Campaign

With the largest vaccination campaign underway, the province has administered more than 16.6 million doses into the arms of Ontarians. On July 9, numbers released by the Ministry of Health show health officials administered 224,864 vaccine doses on Thursday, down from 268,884 doses the day prior.

ROMA – “Un gruppo di cittadini italiani che lavorano in USA ha scritto una lettera appello al Ministro Di Maio e raccolto circa 1300 firme per chiedere l’eliminazione del Travel Ban in modo da permettere agli italiani che lavorano negli Stati Uniti di poter viaggiare liberamente tra Italia e USA”.
