Unstoppable Lea Garza, she also wins the “Bravo Festival”. A Canadian singer in the top positions

Marzio Pelù, February 23, 2022August 25, 2023

MEXICO CITY – Nothing can stop her anymore. The Italian-Mexican singer Lea Garza (in the pic above), 13-years-old, a promise of the international pop scene, has also recently won the “Bravo Junior Festival 2022” which saw the participation of 25 talented competitors from twenty different countries.

The competition took place online on 11, 12 and 13 February: a technical jury and the popular jury (via online voting) decreed the victory of Lea who brought an amazing cover of “Never enough” from “The Greatest Showman ” (you can listen here).

“I’m so excited!” the young singer commented, saying she was “proud to represent Mexico with this extraordinary song from ‘The Greatest Showman’ originally performed by Loren Allred and written by Benj Pasek and Justin Paul”.

For her, this is yet another recognition. In recent months she had won the category “Revelación Femenina 2021 en Pop-Rock en Español e Inglés” (Female Revelation 2021 in Pop-Rock in Spanish and English) at the prestigious “Palmas de Oro Awards” in Mexico that reward the best talents of culture Mexican. An important recognition for national and international artists: in the past personalities like Andrea Bocelli and Sophia Loren have been awarded in this event.

Previously, however, she had won two out of eight prizes at the “Yesports” International Music Awards organized in China.

Lea has lived in Mexico since the age of 9 (she was born in Miami) with her mother Giulia Nenci, Italian from Tuscany, psychobiomusic therapist, and her father Javier Garza, Mexican, internationally renowned sound engineer and son of the great Mexican musician Xavier Garza of the famous band Los Locos del Ritmo. She has music in her blood and it is no coincidence that her talent had already emerged on other occasions that led her to start a series of collaborations such as the one with Juan Pablo Manzanero in “Vivo per lei” which is rotating on Spotify (listen here:  “Vivo per lei”).

Now this new award has arrived to her at the “Bravo Junior Festival 2022” in which she imposed herself on competitors of great value, including the Canadian singer Vicky Rai (in the pic below), 16-years-old, from Toronto, who took the sixth position with a beautiful version of “Respect” by Aretha Franklin, which you can listen here.
