OTTAWA – Closing the celebrations for the 25th Italian Language Week in the World, the Speaker of the House of Commons, Francis Scarpaleggia, and the President of the Canada-Italy Parliamentary Friendship Group, Angelo Iacono, organized a meeting of MPs and Senators with the Italian Ambassador to Canada, Alessandro Cattaneo, in the House of Commons in Ottawa, a few days ago. DALLAS – The Columbus Day celebration took place on a warm afternoon at Klyde Warren Park in the heart of downtown Dallas. The master of ceremonies, Jay Lombardo, opened the program by introducing Diego Fresquez for the national anthems. Official greetings were delivered by Consul General Mauro Lorenzini from Houston, who, after thanking the event organizers, emphasized the importance of celebrating Columbus Day and highlighted the strong bond between Italy and the USA.
