Masks, different opinions and controversy

TORONTO – Masks yes or masks no? After the easing of restrictions in Ontario no longer require masks in most facilities, the controversy goes crazy. On the one hand there are those who cannot do without the protection guaranteed by masks, on the other hand those who could not wait to get rid of them, and to wear them, now that the government has removed the obligation, do not want to hear about them. And so while Uber Canada will no longer require customers to use them starting Friday, Toronto-based taxi company Beck Taxi has decided to continue to impose their use.

Edmonton, Quebec City and Iqaluit. These are the three stages of Pope Francis’ trip to Canada scheduled for the end of July. To tell CBC News are sources not authorized to speak publicly. Moreover, the Pope himself, in the final audience granted in the Vatican to Native American groups on April 1, had hinted that around the days of St. Anne, which is celebrated on July 26, he would arrive in Canada to visit native Americans in their territories and ask forgiveness for the actions of members of the Roman Catholic Church in residential schools.

Ontario, ICU patients with Covid-19 again over 200

TORONTO – For the first time in more than a month, the number of Covid-19 patients in Ontario’s intensive care units has exceeded 200: to be precise, 202 patients of whom almost half (91) are breathing with assistance of a fan. It is the highest number of people in intensive care with Covid-19 since last March 16. And it should also be considered that the admissions data are probably underestimated as some hospitals generally do not report the number of beds occupied during the weekend.

Alessandro Volpe, a baseball player who celebrated his 17th birthday a month ago, who for years has been training every day, for hours, with self-denial and a spirit of sacrifice, is well aware of this. “Every single day since 2015. #NoDaysOff”, as the young Italian Canadian himself wrote on his Twitter profile just over a year ago. He had posted a video of a workout, which went viral, reaching 18,500 views.
