CPC debate # one. No need for knock-out blows

All Canadians have an interest in the process and the outcome of the Conservative Party of Canada Leadership contest, regardless of partisan affiliation. With all due respect to the other parties (Bloc Quebecois, Green, Liberal and NDP) it is one of two Parties with any realistic chance of forming a federal government. The other being the Liberals. 

Travel, airport queues and delayed passports

TORONTO – This summer those who, after two years of pandemic restrictions wish to return to travel, must have the patience of Job. The long waiting times for passport renewal and the endless queues at airports really require a certain resignation to accept and endure the inconveniences. This, experts warn us, will be the “new normal”. At least for now. 

Virus, another 32 deaths in Ontario: 63 in two days

TORONTO – Wednesday 31 dead, today 32. In recent days, Covid-19 looks like a war bulletin. The number of victims in Ontario, since the beginning of the pandemic, is now rapidly approaching 13 thousand (today 12,921), while paradoxically, hospitalizations still drop from 1,698 to 1,676 (assuming that the decrease is not due to deaths more than to patient discharges). On the other hand, the number of infected people in intensive care is growing: 205 (+6).
